Development of large-scale saltwater aquaponics
CONTEXT
Aquaponics is the combination of vegetable cultivation and fish farming in the same system. In France and in Europe, the aquaponics sector mainly concerns freshwater productions.
OBJECTIVE
To develop aquaponics in salt water on a large scale, thanks to an industrial demonstrator that will allow the production of about twenty tons of gamba prawns per year, and forty tons of vegetables.
