Life Cycle Inventories for certain fishery products
Context
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a standardized assessment (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044). It allows for performing a multi-criteria and multi-stage environmental assessment of a system (product, service, company or process) over its entire life cycle.
Objective
Improving knowledge and methodologies for assessing the environmental performance of fisheries through Life Cycle Assessment.
About the <strong>project </strong>
The project also aims at making data available on the different stages of seafood production by producing a Life Cycle Inventory database, in order to feed the AGRIBALYSE ® database of ADEME (French Agency for Environment and Energy Management).
In the long term, this project will contribute to the reflection on the display of environmental information of fishery products and will provide tools to develop and promote good fishing practices.
