What is your business?

ZENI offers an innovative and circular solution for treating concentrated effluents containing nitrogen and phosphorus (and COD) using microalgae.
The quality of the treated water meets standards and, at a minimum, allows it to be discharged into the natural environment, even though we are pushing for its REUSE in cleaning activities to reduce water consumption.
The microalgae produced are revalorized in agriculture for their agronomic value (biostimulants), generating revenue and enabling a quick ROI (3 to 5 years).

Who are your products/services for?

Our process is aimed at RAS fish farms and focuses on concentrates/effluents very rich in N & P (e.g., drum filter washing); but also at processing plants and agri-food industries specializing in seafood products (especially fish cutting and processing).

Why are innovation and research important in your sector?

Our approach is resolutely focused on innovation, and our connections with research centers and excellent startups allow us to work, for example, on selecting highly efficient strains for water treatment. By joining AQUIMER, we aim to offer the entire aquaculture and fishing sector a concrete way to modernize and limit their impacts while becoming more competitive (particularly by enabling them to develop more sustainably and serenely in the face of increasingly strict effluent management regulations).
