Textiles for the sea
Context
Flanders and the Hauts-de-France have a fairly large maritime industry, with a global reach. Boulogne-sur-Mer is the leading French fishing port and the main European platform for logistics and processing of seafood and aquaculture products. These regions also have a major textile industry. This textile industry has been undergoing, for several years, a shift towards the production of technical textile structures.
Objective
Exploring and facilitating opportunities to develop innovative textile products for maritime applications, with and for companies in both regions.
About the <strong>project </strong>
The partners have the ambition to make this zone recognized as a European leader in the identified sectors in the medium and long term.
