Study of the environmental impact of fisheries through life cycle assessment

Over two years, within the framework of the ICV Pêche project, the first Life Cycle Inventory operation (LCI) of about fifteen French fishery products were carried out. The data collected were formatted for inclusion in the ADEME’s AGRIBALYSE database. This data serves as a basis for a comparison of the environmental impacts of fishery products (species, production, etc.). This data is used for the Life Cycle Assessment, a standardized evaluation method that enables a multi-criteria and multi-stage environmental assessment of a system over its entire life cycle to be carried out.
