CSR: Steps to Get Started
We hear more and more about CSR, between environmental, social and ethical issues… but concretely, where do you start? Today, committing to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach is no longer an option: it’s a real lever for combining sustainable performance and value creation.
The SOGEAU project results presentation
Water resource management is now a strategic challenge for the fishing sector, in a context of climate change characterized by longer drought periods and increasing pressure on water availability. In France, companies in the sector are facing increasingly frequent water withdrawal restrictions, which can significantly impact their economic activity.
In this context, the SOG’EAU project aims to provide operational support to companies in the fishing and processing sector, for which water is both an essential resource for their processes and a significant cost item. The goal is to help these organizations better understand and manage their water consumption through dedicated assessments, identification of the highest-consuming uses, and the implementation of monitoring indicators tailored to their activity.
The project also explores concrete optimization levers: improving practices, modernizing equipment, reducing losses, reusing certain water streams where possible, and integrating technical solutions that promote water efficiency without compromising health and quality standards. Beyond the expected economic benefits, this approach aims to strengthen the resilience of companies during water stress periods, secure their operations in an increasingly strict regulatory environment, and sustainably embed the sector in a trajectory of responsible water management.
Finally, SOG’EAU also aims to play a facilitator role by listing existing schemes and directing companies to the relevant contacts (technical, institutional, and funding organizations). Identifying the right sources of information, available financial aid, or support programs can indeed be complex and sometimes discouraging.
With a view to anticipating and supporting your innovation efforts, we have produced a summary of the main topics identified in upcoming European calls for projects.
This document is designed to help you get a head start in your thinking, identify relevant opportunities for your organization, and best prepare your future applications.
Our goal: to provide you with a clear view of emerging themes, to make it easier to position yourself, guide your project strategy, and optimize your chances of success when submitting your proposals.
If you need to discuss anything or would like support, you can contact our Europe project officer, who will be happy to guide you.
Summary sheet – Adapting Industry to Climate Disruption
The webinar organized by S3PI Artois looks back at the importance of adapting our industries to climate disruption. This summary sheet highlights the key takeaways and recommendations from this exchange.
Climate change is a reality whose impacts are already being felt at the regional level.
To address it, companies are encouraged to:
-
Assess their climate vulnerability through tailored diagnostics;
-
Integrate the identified risks into their business continuity plans and investment decisions;
-
Train and raise awareness among their teams about climate issues;
-
Work closely with their insurers and suppliers to anticipate impacts.
Strengthening collective resilience relies on cooperation: sharing feedback, pooling resources, and acting together at the territorial level.
